Stephen and I have a meeting scheduled in San Francisco this Thursday, so we thought of taking the train in to Richmond, and then hopping on the BART to finish the rest of the trip into the city. Seems like a plan right? Well the ticket fare for 2 adults came to $84 (!!!!) so we gave Scamtrak the finger and will contribute to traffic, pollution, and road rage by driving there instead. At least we tried I guess.
P.S. Amtrak’s new logo is about as classic as an American-made sport utility vehicle.
Yes, they don’t make it worth it: It’s horrendously priced, slow moving, and frequently experiences delays. Are you doing a trip in and out the same day? There could be lunch.
